Roll Out Ride Clinics with Lindsey Yokley

  Roll Out Ride Clinics and mountain bike instruction with IMBA certified mtb instructor Lindsey Yokley.

 

Lindsey received her level 2 Instructor certification through the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) in 2013 while working at Snowshoe MTB Park. She has over 10 years of experience as a downhill mountain biker, one of the most extreme forms of the sport. More recently she's taken up cross-country, cyclocross and road racing. Lindsey is currently working on her coaching license for National Interscholastic Cycling Association  (NICA) and volunteers with a local youth cycling team. She wants to share her knowledge and passion for cycling by providing a way to safely and effectively teach others how to ride mountain bikes.

 Lesson Details

2 Hour Beginner/Introductory Lessons emphasize the bike handling fundamentals required to safely and skillfully progress your riding using proper technique, such as shifting, braking, body position, trail assessment, and more. These lessons are typically for the new or novice rider or the beginner rider who has not had a formal introduction to mtb skills.
4 Hour Intermediate/Advanced Lessons covers everything in the 2 hour lesson plus skills such as high speed cornering, front wheels lifts, rear wheel lifts, as well as timing for executing and applying these skills. These lessons are typically for the rider who is ready to learn how to ride more technical, steeper terrain, interested in racing, or just wants to improve their confidence in their riding ability.

Checklist

  • Dressed in athletic clothing appropriate for weather.
  • Good tennis shoes. hiking shoes (not boots), or mtb (flat or clips) shoes.
  • Helmet - in good condition, not cracked or busted. Mandatory.
  • Snacks/nutrition (or $ to purchase in store).
  • Water bottle or hydration pack with plenty of water or sports drink in it.
  • Bike in safe and proper working order, rentals available HERE if needed. Due to safety concerns no department store bikes please.
  • Gloves, sunglasses, and kneepads suggested, but optional.
